Who I Am
I am a Loveland-based mixed media artist who explores the parallel cycles of growth, decay, and renewal found in both human identity and the natural world. I have an Associates of Arts focusing in Fine Art and a PhD in Visual Communication Studies, so I try to bring both artistic and scholarly understanding to my creative practice.
My portfolio features botanical subjects and portraits that emerge from rich, often dark backgrounds, serving as symbols of transformation and resilience. Expressed through paintings and three-dimensional works, I hope my pieces convey a passion for life and a celebration of the painting process itself. My work seeks to honor the wild, untamed aspects of human experience and nature, always hoping to convey the complexities of identity—including the particular nuances of feminine experience.
I have been a resident artist at Gallery Underground, Opiate Gallery, and Aspen and Evergreen Gallery, and have been featured in numerous venues throughout Northern Colorado. I would love for my work to challenge viewers to find beauty in life's transitions and strength in its contradictions.
